Ahhhh a web developer. The artists of IT. I did a few courses on web dev and advanced web dev in college. I'm in cybersecurity. Always glad to find pedes in the IT industry with me.
That's awesome. I've kind of been all over the place. I graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering, but I found that I like the software & networking side of things better, so I switched to web developing...and I eventually made it into software and IT consulting and now I help major companies monitor and manage their digital infrastructure effectively and efficiently.
I was into software development and web development when I was in high school but had to take a security and networking class when I got to college, immediately got interested and switched to security. I'm specialized in cyberwarfare to do counter cyberterrorism or military - now most of that part of the military is part of the space force. We're currently fighting a cyberwar against China, Russia, Iran, NK, and Pakistan. Since said countries can't actually take on the US with boots on the ground, they target US infrastructure and companies. 24/7 action. Always some dick head in China trying to get access to a power grid.
Yeah I believe it. I have a friend who was in the air force and he just graduated as well and they just transferred him into the space force to fight on the cyber-front since he's knowledgeable in software development and cybersecurity. Seems the Space Force is where most of that activity is taking place.

Nice to meet a fellow tech-pede!
