So... no repeat voting, like what happened in your country where people from another state voted twice.
Also we have national IDs, and if we don't have one you use your passport or have the postmaster verify your identity (but even that requires a birth certificate).

I'm actually Canadian brother, our election security is better than the USA however not as good as some other countries.
