GEOTUS said twice on Jan 6 that it would take more courage for Pence to do nothing. I am not sure Pence is the bad guy at this point. I am reserving judgement for another couple days.

I took it to be what he did. He let the process proceed (do nothing) without invoking his powers to choose electors (do something). Doing nothing took more courage because he is now seen as a traitor but maybe it was needed to confirm the treason. Hopefully we will know one way or t'other shortly.
