he's not a traitor. we're not in a conventional war just yet. words have meanings. be careful allowing the left to stretch them so aggressively
here's what pence actually did: considering all the incentives he had, thinking he might run and win sometime in the future, and considering that he didn't want any harm to come to his family, he did what any cowardly politician would do—he showed us that he has no spine, he was there for the game, wanted the easy life both in and after politics, and he cucked out- justifying it in his own mind saying something to the effect of "well, all in all, i'm up. the other people at this poker table we call politics should be just fine" and walked away like the koch brother prison bitch that he is. he could have said anything; he could have said, like at least nixon did, "hey- i've got some serious issues with how this went down and think it should be examined a lot more closely, but my position in this instance- because of the serious potential conflict of interest- is effectively ceremonial. i will never stop fighting for the american people in every capacity in which i'm constitutionally and legally able, but this is neither the time nor place for me to do so" BUT HE REFUSED TO ACT
and i'll say that some of the most harm done throughout human history was when people lacked the courage to simply stand up and say—i'm not talking about fighting or killing or taking prisoners—none of that—to simply stand up and say "this, i will not abide"
he didn't; but we're not fucked yet, because now it's our job to say what he didn't have the stones to say—to carry ourselves with dignity and courage, not despair and cowardice, and simply say "i don't fucking think so, and i mean it: that tragically demented man is neither my nor anyone else's president, and i will not stand idly by while he dismantles trump's legitimate, constitutional attempts to unite and fight for every legal citizen of this nation"
that's it. that's all we have to do- and maybe a bit of defending ourselves, our families, our homes; and we'll come out on the other side of this in one piece. i happen to believe that despair is sinful, because it makes abundantly clear that you don't have faith enough to see that this world is imperfect, is suffering, is temporary, and that we're not here to achieve perfection—we're here to do the best we can with who and what the Lord happens to have blessed us. so fight however you see fit; i certainly won't stop you. turn the other cheek first and empty a clip in them for all i care. certainly, though, i won't be making any trouble unless it comes to my doorstep. i'm ready, happy, willing, and able to defend those i love most while my flesh and bones are still animated down here. i fear no man or any group of men
i'll be fine, but all i ask is that the rest of you start thinking about how Jesus would actually respond to a situation like this were His Body sent about 2000 years later than It was. the left hasn't won, and they'll never dominate me; but they can get awfully close if cowards like pence keep giving them a million tiny victories on their way to my front door
You know, people like you are exactly the problem. By the time trouble comes to your doorstep it will be too late. This is how Conservatives keep getting steamrolled. They are too reactionary and just want to be left alone whilst the enemy is constantly on the offensive and boxing you in.
I'm sick of dancing around censorship just to stay on a site around people who knows what we have to do and the only way this ends but nobody can even discuss it.
Instead cucks like you sit there and say I wil only deal with the problem when it comes to my door. Well what about all your neighbours who cant afford guns to protect themselves, or cannot use them etc. We need to fight now. Not when the enemy has amassed their army and start rolling into town. What good is that??
no- you've misunderstood me. you do whatever the hell you want to do; i won't stop you, and i think you ought to see it through however you see fit. all i was saying is that i'm not dying on this particular hill just yet, and nothing you say is going to change my initiative/bias for action

you're arguing for collective action, just so you're aware
i'm from bumfuck missouri and don't precisely take kindly to being told what i or others must/not do
