That's why almost no one should be allowed to vote. And the moment people feel they need to vote to "make change" then government already has too much power over the people.
Having an official national app would simply consolidate power, per country.
Social Media needs to be regulated like a utility, like the phone company. Requiring free exchange of conversation etc with very few restrictions like child porn. The rest is “regulated” by you hanging up on people you don’t want to talk too. (Block, unfollow, etc.)
Of course, if Lindsey Graham has his way, most speech will be labeled criminal, so then my idea fails. But free speech should be written into the very law that licenses SM platforms.
