Absolutely. It's a republic with certain fundamental guarantees that are not at the whim of democratic wind. If protecting the constitution means something, he's got a duty to act when the incoming party, ideology, mob mentality and Manchurian president is violating those fundamental rights and are threatening to do worse.

I'm allowed to say absolutely anything in this country, short of specific threat of violence. I can discuss it in general and on principle, I can say I like pineapple on pizza and I can donate money to any domestic cause that's not working against the constitution. I have a right to privacy and security in all my materials and a right to not be interrogated or arrested for speaking freely.

The democrats now calling for all this to end is beyond politics and a clear threat to the constitution. Leftists in Congress, on the house floor, threatened to violate my rights for supporting the President. That's as much of a declaration of war as the President should need to declare a defensive war in response.
