for people in europe for example it is 1/18/2021 right now- that would make tomorrow the 19th for them and popcorn day.

For people on west coast USA it is still 1/17/2021. (I assume thisishowitstarts is in that time zone.)

There's no need to semantically debate the date "Thisishowitstarts"
