Don't do it. I did it and I lost a few of my apps and I had to take hours to undo the update. It's going to install something that makes a lot of opps not work and they end up with that white circle with the white line in them. I even had to pay to get one app reinstalled.
I stopped updating my iphone last year when they added the covid contact tracing feature. Pings other phones around you so they know who you've been in contact with.
Sounds shady AF and open to major abuse, like everything else.

Would be a very simple matter for them to send an agent to every tv and radio station in the country. Remember, this is the government, they have an unlimited budget.
News stations usually are set within the same area of each other when it comes to big cities. It wouldn't take long for them to just go directly to the station heads.
Then affiliates could be contacted via phone by said station heads. That would cover a lot of surrounding areas.
