I mean, it WAS a riot in the traditional sense. It was an actual “mostly peaceful protest” by the current standards of the left, but it met all the criteria to be correctly described as a riot. It’s just that unlike when they do it, we didn’t burn the place down and spray graffiti everywhere.
If it were a riot, there would be more destruction and more people hurt. It’s more like a break in, though even that is a stretch because the Capitol is the people’s house. The elites are characterizing it as a riot because they see themselves as our rulers and us as peasants.
