Yep, basically, you'll have free speech as long as it conforms to our ever restricting community guidelines.

You have free speech - until the Lefties have a 60/40 administrative power over the website. Then they begin cracking down on the very free speech that made the platform popular. It's literally like a cycle of locusts, we build it, they come, co-opt it, destroy it, and the process begins again.

Huh, yeah I don’t trust this guy now. He is giving himself every opening to say, “well you didn’t moderate hur hur.” I know he’s the host for TD but the guy talks like a deep state politician and it’s not a good look.

Direct link to thread, if anyone wishes to like it, or respond to it, he seems active there. https://www.namepros.com/threads/epik-and-parler.1223772/page-3#post-8122925

I don't know what Epik is, but he sounds like a cuck

He doesn't unambiguously condemn the authoritarian left for the evil it is, only his fantasy version of the right's response to it. That's pretty alarming to me, as there effectively is no organized American far right. It exists solely in the imagination of guys like this. Meanwhile the leftist technocracy is poised for total information control worldwide.

He can think whatever he wants of us, or anyone else, that's his God given right. So long as he acts legally and fairly, which is what he claims to want, he's alright in my book.

In fact, even if he truly thought us all terrorists, that he's still being principled regardless is laudable. How many people on this site would give platform to Antifa or BLM so long as they weren't breaking laws? Quite a lot, I'm sure, but definitely less than we'd think.

If he hosts the site then great. He's just trying to be diplomatic in public statements so all his bank accounts don't get closed too soon.

"Acceptable use within the bounds of the Governing Law" is basically free speech under the 1A guidelines.

I see nothing wrong with that.

I don't understand why you need so many fucking asterisks on free speech

Well if that's not the very definition of waffling around an issue, I don't know what is. You either support 1A or you don't.

I get it, he's setting himself up optically so other corporations don't go after him.

But he is right when he says the path to hell is paved with good intentions. Maybe he needs to listen to his own advice.
