Yes, I think so. Mike is too earnest and unsophisticated for DC. He sees injustice, he wants it fixed...I think we all sympathize and agree. It takes a good man to rage impotently against evil.

In the particular, the rubicon is past. We’re living in a timeline where Ceasar thought about crossing it, then his lieutenants whispered “if you try to cross it, we’ll kill you.” Mike is still barking “cross it! Cross it!” Thats pretty inept. And so the lawyers just shuffle him out of the way.
