I felt like a failure for so long because they said I had to go to college to succeed. I really detest the public education system

They still expect me to have a degree. Until the job is behind and over budget. I don't owe a years wages in school debit, I also spent the years I should've been in school I was actually building what they 'design'. Most engineers just follow code and know how to look a material reference up...put them in a bind and behind schedule, you can just set back and watch them order things wrong, confuse low pressure systems with high pressure thus ordering more material wrong or order more expensive material than necessary to meet code. Experience before a degree, I still respect the knowledge but you have to be able to apply it.
