I offered someone I know a job at our shop. Starts at 20$ full benefits, and most people move up to 30$ after 3-4 years, this is in the Midwest, that is good money here.

You get paid for free year round training in a skilled trade, lifetime job security. We didnt have 1 layoff during the shutdowns.

He declined and went to work at a big box store for 10$ and hour or what ever. I only met this guy once, but he just had a baby so I thought i would help him out. I was shocked.

Our shop locally isnt. But go on indeed and look for entry level trade positions. 4 years ago I was working fast food. I bugged the shit out of my boss. I showed up every couple mornings telling him Im ready to work and really wanted the job. I had to eat shit from the guys for about a year but it paid off. Most these guys are old school. Trump motivated me to MAGA. Now Im sitting on stacks, dont know what to do with my money, so I just save it. My goal is to buy a house cash, mortgage free. I am almost half way there and only been saving for 3 years.
