What makes you think this? There is absolutely no reason to believe Trump will do anything. He told you he’s giving up. He’s shown he’s perfectly content leaving his justice department in shambles for his entire term. Why would his last day be any different?
He just told you the reason to believe. If Trump does something after he's out (if he leaves), he could quickly become much more powerful than he was as president. Anything he does or says will have half of the country onboard.
