Yes, this is a major display of force, but it's more feather fluffing than anything in my opinion. The US military was in Vietnam for 15+ years; they've been in Afghanistan for almost 20 and in neither case could they subdue the insurgency. Both of those countries are relatively small, their people very poor and uneducated, and their access to resources much more limited than ours.
If it came to a boogaloo, this country is fucking huge; it would be impossible to occupy it all when they can't occupy entire countries as big as a medium-sized state, and the population is armed to the teeth, and not just with little pea-shooters, either. My point is, don't let the deep state fool you; yes, they're powerful, but they are not omnipotent nor invincible. They fear what we could do if we rally together.
