Athens was the first democracy in the world. It immediately devolved into Hell as people were stabbed to death in the street for voting incorrectly while despot after despot riled up the retard class and took power only to be deposed by the next despot.
Then they figured out only some people should be voting so they made the Republic, where representatives made sure that the people who need to be voting can vote.

We are a democratic republic. If things go the way they should this next few weeks, we will be a constitutional republic, like our forefathers intended.
There is no such thing as a democratic republic. We are still a constitutional republic that has been perverted by the corrupted politicians. We need to stop thinking like this because it leads ppl to start believing it and that can breed complacency. We have many programs that are reminiscent of socialism and democracy but that does not make our country socialist or a democracy.
I am not disagreeing with you we just need to hammer that point home. Even though we are in crisis our constitution still stands. Yes we have been taken but that doesn't mean it will stay that way.
