YES! We love Dr. King! He was a not a Democrat as most people assume, and there is some evidence to suggest he was actually a registered Republican. His own movement abandoned him in the end because he saw the bigger picture and all they wanted to do was cry about racism. The decision was finally made to eliminate him when he came out against the Vietnam war and unnecessary wars in general. If he was alive today, the deepstate would have him killed. He would be no BLM critical race theory political football. As OP says, he was a fighter and an OG. It saddens me to think so many people who do not have a clue what justice is, and do not give a shit about civil rights and individual liberties, will invoke his name today in service of their bullshit ideologies. They are the real racists.
King also perpetuated the idea that blacks were oppressed, therefor leaving a vacuum to who the oppressors were. This also created anger and divide to who these self discovered oppressors were, and a 'why try, we're oppressed" attitude.
Imagine if King said something like "Judge man not, but by their merit, work ethic and morals".
During his era they were unquestionably oppressed. You'd have to be a grade A idiot to believe that "separate but equal" actually meant equal. His whole argument was fight for what you believe in, never a victims' attitude whatsoever. The guy was unjustly thrown in to jail for what he believed in and for organizing peaceful protests. He never blamed 'the white man' for Jim Crow and segregation, in fact he blamed government. He SOUGHT OUT the support of White Americans and emphasized his patriotism. He never demonized America for its faults at the time and never sought retribution. He was a truly great man.
He wasn’t a communist, but I do believe he was duped by communists. It’s well documented that communism had heavy influence in the civil rights movement, the women’s rights movement, the labor unions movement,
He is irrelevant to the BLM movement.
He had one good quote, which is the only thing people remember about him, apart from being a rapey creep.
I am sure if that man was still alive he would be sporting a Maga hat!
Amen patriot!
