Just like almost every other recent development, this is vaguely indicative of two possibilities:

1. Trump really does plan a huge sucker punch against the deep state, and allied prosecutors, etc will need protection from the left’s backlash.

2. Trump is a regular guy who fought the deep state valiantly, is now thinking of his family first, and signaling to supporters that the rule of law needs to be respected despite any big rulings/prosecutions that we don’t like
