I actually survived for almost 1.5 years on Media Matters using Socratic method comments to try to get their loyal horde to actually think. I was excessively polite, but they got sick of facts and logic after awhile.
It's actually rather therapeutic and really useful to know the Leftist talking points before they reach the public at large. You don't lose many debates/discussions when you already know what your opponent is going to say.
