Title says it all. I've worked in the civilian world a couple years, then got bored and went to fly jets. It is awesome leading dudes into war. Cant get into all of it, but things were very tense until Trump got elected then things got immediately better. Less risk of being shot down by surface to air missiles and the daily encounters with other adversary jets decreased.

Came back and things were good. Then in the last few years the little "fighter" culture that we had left was taken from us. "No more songs.... your callsign is offensive change it.... your squadron bar has to be designated as a heritage room with only certain people having access to it.... no offensive jokes... no offending anyone for any reason.... if a person files a complaint for being harrased for putting his hat on the bar, then the offender is removed and presumed guilty"

We have a stressful and fast paced job, it's not for everyone, everyone has known bros that died. Personally, depending on the mission or training I have a near death experience about every other week. Same with everyone else at my work. We are more like a football team than an office. We do dangerous stuff and are highly skilled. It is very fun and exciting, so why the pilot shortage????

Because we can make more money being a buss driver for the airlines, and the political bullshit isn't worth making 1/3 of what you get on the outside..... we are gone probably half the year with TDYs and when home, we are the only people on base working 12 to 14 hr days. (Besides Maintenance, those dudes are overworked like crazy) then we cant even get finance to help us because they work 930 to 1530 with an hour lunch break. Same with Comm, and CE the building has been leaking for the last 8 months but "sorry, not on our list yet".... dudes have timers on their computers to see exactly how many hours we waste per day just waiting on the gov web page to open.....

Government ruins everything it touches. With how retarted the government is getting, I see no end to the PC bullshit. Only an increase, and even more cultural training stuff on the horizon. How do you make people quit the best job in the world..... make their life miserable.

Currently I am working on 3 different avenues to generate passive income. As well as creating a right wing GoFundMe, but I am not a nerd and know nothing about computers. Haha so it is hard finding tech people who are right wing, especially since this censorship, it kinda killed that plan. So I am having to restart.

Anyway, I dont know what this rant was about. But I thought I would share it with you pedes. Since I'm sure it is the same at your workplace.

Pretty much why I left the military...among other reasons. The whole thing is do as I say not as I do with a shit ton of out of touch leaders making insane decisions from behind a desk or while flying around giving speeches like a corporate exec.

I wasn't in combat but even engagement and reporting policies were so assanign that idk how you ever would fight if you were attacked without worrying about some twat waffle trying to court martial you while making 100k safe behind a desk in DC.

Seems like only spec ops fights and your type (fighter pilots) fight any war at all other than dust bunnies.

Agreed, I see so many "leaders" who are only in that position because they play the game.... not because they are effective or smart.

When forced to go to leadership training with some of those people... jesus....you really understand how one person cam ruin a team.

For the most part in my community, we see a problem, analyze the problem, come up with solutions and contingencies based on a foundational understanding of our tactics. Then execute the plan....at the leadership courses some of the other people just want to charge nugget first in one direction even before knowing where to go.... or sit there forever and do nothing.

The worst were the ones who were 100% by the books, all the time, forever... i cant stand that shit. If a small deviation is required to get my guys home earlier or give them a better day. Every leader with a brain should do that.
