This is far worse...you're putting guardsmen in a position where even their CO or XO's even own CO or XO wont tell them why. Then when they ask the 'why' as they are legally allowed to under military law, they get threatened with "You cannot ask Why or we'll throw you in the brig and take away your pensions". This is the real if not destructive pact we are dealing with, as no one in the chain of command has an idea of what the fuck is going on except a very few subset of people connected to a very few subset of people in the government. Any questioning of orders is met with threats. A military a just military cannot act this way.
