I know most leftist views can be easily seen by logging on to Twatter or just reading wapo / etc, but I'm curious about others' anecdotal stories of real life leftists. Especially close friends who aren't afraid to spew their real and unfiltered opinions on you.
Those that I've personally talked to don't even fake pearl clutching about the 6th. They straight up make fun of the people who died and are unabashedly happy about the whole thing.
In their minds this is one of the first times that reality coincided with their beliefs (that all Trump supporters are crazed white nationalists (and all the other opinions the MSM assigns to them)). They've also expressed maniacal glee at things like Herman Cain dying. They are completely blind to the wild hypocrisy on their side, and pretty much incapable of nuanced opinions.
In terms of personalities, most are extremely cynical and have very little ambition in life. They would never come to my aid in a time of need. They aren't happy. They love seeing people fail and are super bitter at others' success in life. It's not all jealousy either, some of them are quite financially successful themselves.
The men have no game whatsoever when it comes to dating, and the women are with the biggest cucks I've ever seen. The married ones aren't happy together at all as far as I can gather.
Obviously, my experience is anecdotal and I recognize that. Just curious if these traits / beliefs are as widespread as they appear to be, and would love to hear others' stories.
(There is a strong argument I'm a fag for staying friends with these people, and I respect that. My only leftist friends are ones that I've known my entire life, and at this point it's more of a science experiment than anything. But I'll be honest, I do still care about them and would sacrifice a lot to help them if it came down to it.)

I dont know any personally who are so radical that they want to kill you but I had some coworkers I know really well who are left and it is usually a few scenarios:
Scenario 1: They are well meaning upper middle class people who buy into way too much propaganda and are in country club type thought bubbles. They travel the world for vacation and only see the nice things and don't understand why the US isn't like other countries.
Scenario 2: Welfare or something like it helped their family when they were a child and they don't think it should be disrupted because it works and too many people need help.
Scenario 3: They are the same people from Idocracy who want sports and video games and TV and as long as they have those they would happily watch them from a gulag.
Scenario 4: They are private college educated and even if they are less successful they truly believe they are smarter than you and they refuse to accept anything but mainstream news so you can't really show them proof of what's wrong. I'll get them to concede many points but at the end of the day orange man bad is all that matters.
There are different plot twists but the propaganda out there is real and never in any history have we had technology like social media that literally keeps you in an echo chamber forever. I actually enjoy intellectual conversations with leftists who will listen and rationally discuss but most of them are just virtue signaling

I have many friends who went off the lefty deep end. There's only a handful that I actually still communicate with regularly.
They literally can't reconcile any differing opinion. They can't. They react with anger to any fact they can't get around. It's just like Twitter.
They literally can't shut up. My core group is mostly conservative, but when the lefties are around we just don't talk politics. We have no reason to because we don't need to argue about it and no minds will be changed. But the lefties can't help it. They have to drop comments and make lame jokes that are designed to spout their views and make them feel superior. If anyone contradicts them with reality, see #1.
They make all decisions based on emotion. They feel best when they can virtue signal in some way.

Spot on. In WA state too much tech money and a persistent influx of CA (plus years of only mail in ballots). If you don't support lockdowns your killing people (zero impact to their income). I tried to remain friends until one agreed Trump supporters should have their children taken away. Many of them really believe we are racist fascists (all the ists). They don't seem capable of accepting mainstream news isn't the only reality.
My roommate. I helped her get her first, full time position. She's slowly waking up (awakenings always starts with complaints about taxes). She wants to earn more money, and she complains about her boyfriend "not being responsible."
When the election happened, she said she voted for Biden because "Trump will start a literal genocide campaign against black people!"
I've managed to convince her that this election cycle is Not Normal, and she calls me her "favorite crazy person" for buying extra rice and water.
She ignores anything that does not fit her worldview, including both the collapse of world governments and the situation in DC.

I have relatives that are leftists. They no longer speak to us. We had a heart to heart that their eldest child was being radicalized in college that they pay for and was inciting violence. That didn’t go over well. The younger child is completely soy based and scared of diseases. The father is a complete low T beta and mother is a raving loon. They spew CNN headlines all day long. They think we are white supremacists. Fyi we are all hispanic and parents left communist regimes to come to America.
The majority of those that I know well, have no children.
I'm not sure how anyone could really be friends with them, they're crazy.

What happened on the 6th was a battle between the petty bourgeoisie and the police state. These were middle-class reactionaries struggling to maintain their economic superiority by propping up a sympathetic despot while cosplaying as working-class rebels against the system. It's an internicene right-wing conflict we had no strategic reason to intervene in as anifascists. This was capitalism battling itself.
I've thought about what he said long and hard, and he's not necessarily wrong. There is a third way for our people if we can shed the dead weight of soft-handed middle-class pussies. Left or right, this is who the problem is, and who you're describing. Basic-ass middle americans who want everything handed to them. 1/6 was basically a bunch of Karens and Qanon boomers trying to speak to the manager because their fries were soggy. It wasn't a rebellion or insurrection, it was a complaint for poor service.
