Legal question - if they sue him for defamation, libel or slander, can he and his attorneys get discovery into their systems, machines and software?

Not necessarily. He would only be allowed discovery into things closely related to their suit against him, and you can bet that Dominion's lawyers would fight about even giving any of that up.

I like Mike quite a bit. He's a true patriot (and makes great products). I hope he gets through this okay; but I have to be honest and say that I don't think this will go in his favor. It makes me dislike the crap Lin Wood has been doing even more now, because not only may it end up ruining the career of Sidney Powell, an amazing lawyers, but it could take out a patriotic businessman now too.

There's a reason a lot of people and places have dropped or made changes to what they've been saying about Dominion, and a reason why trump's legal team stayed away from a lot of it. It's because half the stuff that's been allowed to spread about them isn't true. Dominion let it happen so they could clean up with these lawsuits, and then never have to answer for their real problems.

Thank you, people here throw around the word "discovery" like it's a secret law that allows you to look into everything on your opponent's side.

Well to be fair.. in family court it kinda is.

Discovery and subpoenas.

But admittedly I know almost nothing about how lawsuits work.
