Well NG 2 star general let it slip accidently that the force in DC is to "peacefully transition to military power" i.e. martial law... I wouldn't doubt the millitary takes over dissolves the Gov and runs elections for the next 6 years vetting candidates through heavy background checks and requiring 100% transparency of their communications. And for the cherry on top strips all laws off the books that directly contradict the constitution... like the GCA.. and the NFA... which directly infringe on the 2nd
