I get what your saying but it's a huge leap from what he allowed on the 6th and what's going on now.
To order them away 1 day before makes no sense but neither does allowing military occupation of DC. Unless there is a credible threat we don't know about or it's not just for the inauguration.
I just have a hard time believing he has just sat back and let them do whatever they want with the military for the last 12 days.
Trump doesn't deal with unit movements and things of that nature, his orders are high level, not something like this.
I think Trump COULD theoretically tell all those troops to leave Washington, but impeachment hearings are coming up, he doesn't dare do that.
Would he not have to ok that many national guards coming into DC? What about the ones they made marshals?
Are those not actions Trump himself would've had to order?
The mayor doesn't have that authority.
He gave orders back on the 6th to allow the NG to deploy to Washington, I dunno why they would have to leave.
Again, look at the big picture here, Trump is leaving, Trump is about to have his senate impeachment hearings.
If he tried to order the NG away, it would look like he wants Trump supporters to storm the castle again.
And even worse, he could only order them away for one day at this point because Biden could (if he wanted) put them right back on wednesday.
