I agree it's important to get out of the echochamber sometimes.

Regarding 2022: Voter fraud. Ring a bell? Trump got tens of millions more legal votes. Yet "lost." Voting is broken.

Regarding local politics: Yes, it's important. Getting enough good people into positions of power can have a potent effect. However, it carries the same risks. In my little town of about 1500 people, the local mayor's opponents have a history of turning up dead by "suicide." Killed people to cover up rapes and embezzlement. FBI even came here, raided town hall, had a case lined up and were going to bring him down. Local mayor calls one of our US Senators, and the whole thing goes away. When you get involved in politics, you are jumping into a mafia feeding frenzy, and there's always blood in the water.
