Does anyone remember the Marines in Beirut in the 1980s not having ammo in their rifles, or very limited amounts (that was 40 years ago so I have trouble remembering). Then terrorists got a truck bomb through easily and killed a bunch of Marines from Camp LeJeune?

Yes. I was enlisted in the 1980s, although not in Marines:

Thank you for your service. I was in NOAA at the time as a scientist and knew a lot of Coasties and Marines. That was one of Reagan's bad decisions.
