Social programs are designed around population growth (IE there will always be more young healthy people to work hard and tax than there will be old people that need free healthcare)
Of course, other policies have reduced the population growth such that to keep these programs going, you need immigrants to fill the slack.
The goal is to redistribute taxpayers’ money to change the people who hate them into ppl who are dependent on them.

There's a huge dichotomy between religious Jews, who believe that our historical suffering is from God and we need to persevere, and secular Jews who believe that religious and ethnic identity is the source of all ills in the world.
I'm personally from a non-religious but politically conservative background (very rare among Jews), and became religious later. I've never fully understood the secularist, leftist, communism-is-my-religion approach many other Jews have. But I think the "let's escape the suffering" lens may play a part in it.
