My 1st phone call would be to a personal injury lawyer. They would certainly put you in the right direction if they can not help you. Best of luck, sd

If it is a "right-to-work" state you are fucked.

I clearly said it was FL, and even still, in states like that, there are exceptions to that, at least so I've been told.

Probably Verizon. I've NEVER been fucked so hard by a company in my entire life. Internet has been fucking up since Nov 19th and been off since Dec 9th...

Every day I call, and they feed me some line of bullshit. They tell me it will be on at 2:45, then at 10:45, then at 6:45. It never comes on. They refuse to give me a number for corporate, or give me an address to anywhere. They say everyone is working from home and there's nothing they can do. They got tired of me calling, and out me on a "covid list", which means they couldn't help me for a month, even though they never even needed to come to my home. Even when I could get a hold of them it was some Indian that I couldn't understand and had no clue WTF was going on. Evey phone call was a different excuse.

Fucking bullshit. Fuck them.

Wasn't Verizon ;) And if it was in FL where I was/am employed (cause I still don't fucking know) then it would have been Frontier, and it wasn't them either.

Holy hell - sorry man. Wish times were different for all of us. Soon you won’t qualify for any health care coverage unless you take the vaccine and disavow your previous pro-Trump stance

Yea, I hope that day never comes. I feel revolt will happen long before, and the "revolution" will be well under way long before that.

Start with Labor attorney should be a free consultation. You can bounce it off a personal injury attorney as well to see if they have input. Always free consultation.

Yea, that's what I'm planning on. I really hope this is a major case. I have almost 3 hrs of recordings with HR and the benefits center and them basically admitting to it being a known issue.

Labor lawyer should be able to sort out billing issues, insurance companies pull this shit all the time. But you have to be careful as well not to cause yourself a possible job loss.

I mean, they basically have already "fired" me because I did not return to work after the date specified, but I have it on recording, on that day, that I was formally requesting a new ADA accommodation, to which, they have not responded to at all.. (almost 2 months now)

It wasn't the insurance company that was doing this either, it was my employer that was causing all the issues with the validity of my insurance.

I'm looking to sue for damages, but more because of the stress, anxiety, depression, emotional turmoil/distress, etc that this has caused. Not to mention pulling my benefits out from under me during the height of the pandemic, which I believe might violate the cares act as well.

Me too.. I'm over a year into this and am sick of the BS.

Also, you probably need to hire a lawyer in the state you were employed (FL).

Medical Malpratice and Labor.

SyNiKaLiTy [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Why Med Mal? I thought they only dealt with doctors on that, and it was my employer that caused the issues, not a doctor.

il didnt read in depth the long thread.

Kk, I know it's long, but this is also a truncated version of the whole situation.

I’d actually look into getting a social security lawyer. If you were physically unable to work you should have been receiving social security benefits and the back pay on that might cover any outstanding medical bills and/or provide health care coverage. Where in MI are you?

1
SyNiKaLiTy [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

The problem with that is I was "technically employed" through the majority of the year. I'm in West Michigan. I wouldn't have qualified for disability, because it was supposed to be short term, nvm the BS that covid and my employer did to me.

1
Pepe_longcockings 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well that’s pretty fucked up. Do you have any family or friends nearby?

SyNiKaLiTy [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I never gave up my place in MI, and had dual residency in MI and FL. There's a lot more shittyness that hasn't been mentioned around this situation, but it basically shows the company has a history of fucking around with people and not doing what they're supposed to.

Specifically in regards to my Short term disability, the "representative company" that handled that stuff sent a bad fax for almost 5 MONTHS. I finally had to sort that out FOR them since they couldn't figure it out.
