I’d actually look into getting a social security lawyer. If you were physically unable to work you should have been receiving social security benefits and the back pay on that might cover any outstanding medical bills and/or provide health care coverage. Where in MI are you?

The problem with that is I was "technically employed" through the majority of the year. I'm in West Michigan. I wouldn't have qualified for disability, because it was supposed to be short term, nvm the BS that covid and my employer did to me.

I never gave up my place in MI, and had dual residency in MI and FL. There's a lot more shittyness that hasn't been mentioned around this situation, but it basically shows the company has a history of fucking around with people and not doing what they're supposed to.

Specifically in regards to my Short term disability, the "representative company" that handled that stuff sent a bad fax for almost 5 MONTHS. I finally had to sort that out FOR them since they couldn't figure it out.
