They're only vetting them because Biden didn't want the Trump supporters too close to him. Trump isn't planning on assassinating him, so what difference does that make to him? He wants Biden to feel completely comfortable walking into the web. And they didn't deputize only the Biden voters either. Make no mistake, Trump is still the CIC. FEMA is running the show though. That's why Pence said "respect the unified command" to the troops he addressed yesterday.
I don't trust anything Pence says, since he had a chance to secure a 2nd term for Trump and then backstabbed him and then elbow bumped Pelosi right after.
