My own mother knows that I was on my way to the protest before DC was effectively shut down. I'm Jewish by blood on her side - and she still brought up to me a couple of days ago how shocked at how many neo-nazis and white supremacists were at the "riot."

I explained to her that she watched far too much cable news, and that she was unintentionally asserting that I surround myself with Nazis despite knowing that is absurd on its face. Shit, my son is mixed race. She is well aware that I am not the type of person that would go to the scene she was describing. It doesn't matter, the propaganda is that strong. The logic is totally gone with these folks.
