If it was real socialism then it worked. Germany had one of the strongest economies in the world around WW2. Their problem wasn't anything but their foreign policy.

He resigned fearing an imminent economic collapse and opposition from within the government. He was replaced by none other than Hermann Goering, who knew nothing of economics, so rearmament continued and then Germany had to invade other countries for plunder to keep it going.
It’s amazing that none of the nations claiming to be and acting as communist were actually communists according to the left if they would at all make for an unflattering comparison to what they’re after. Their only take away from the National Socialist party was that it was bad that they excluded Jews. They say that as they ask to round up an even larger group of people into camps.
