Sorry, they did not suffer much. They economy was rather strong then and is even stronger now. All those policies made them even stronger. Unfortunately internationally the USA became a rather unreliable partner for many countries by alienating many countries.

They were losing the trade war chief and it was bad for them i don't think you understand how bad it was for them. China Basiclly said thank god Biden is getting in. And trust me free trade is horrible idea especially when they are putting tariffs on your products. And no their economy was getting way worse as it started to slow down and then when it stagnated it would collapse.
Again I don't think you know how china has been getting completely destroyed by this trade war i literally cannot overstate that fact they were panicking and trying to end the trade war with the US if it was helping them why would they keep trying to end it dude.
