We would be better off Balkanizing and fortifying our positions. After a generation we can reclaim the Soviet States of America (they’ll beg to come back)
This. Beef up our numbers and establish a solid voting base to institute the community government we want. Spread from there as the opportunity arises.
I like the localization idea, but under a totalitarian state, which is where we are headed, local government power and control will be removed. If you take a look at history, local governments had essentially no autonomy under Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union.
I'm involved in local politics and even now there is pretty limited autonomy under state and county government.
The Northern California town where I have a cabin has a population about 1500. Everyone knows each other. They’re armed to the teeth. They all grow gardens in the summer and hunt and fish. Things get done on a handshake. It’s 3000 miles from DC and probably 300 from Sacramento. I suspect there are towns like this nationwide.
They can dictate policy at the surrounding area all they want, but they will have to send troops here if they want it to get done. Local problems are local problems.
The smaller the town, the easier it is to fly under the radar. I also live in a small town and we are exempted from a lot of the mandates that larger towns and cities are required to comply with. We also have the added bonus no local law enforcement.
You can absolutely fight back if you have enough like minded people in leadership, but expect the State to make examples of anyone that does. We are already seeing this play out with the bullshit lockdowns.

Focus on localization.

This is true, and you will be far better off in a small town than in a big city, which is why I live in a small town.
They can only take it if you give it to them
