I have a real problem with "America will never become a socialist country..."

Most of the time when I see someone say that, it's to dismiss concerns about the radical left. "Oh, you're being ridiculous, America will never become a socialist country..."

Work in local elections. That is how you can prevent this from happening.

Excellent. We need to step up and make the government represent patriots.

It is time that local officials make laws that represent the people.

I would argue america already is a Socialist country.

Name one industry that I can start producing goods without the government requiring licenses and control? Even to sell lemonade you technically need a business license with most cities.

So how is a country where the government controls production not socialist?

Your base opinion that any level of regulation equals control on the level of socialism, is incorrect.

The argument you're making is "How is it not socialism when I personally feel like it is socialism?"'

Suppose I ask a question. How are dog owners not gay-lovers if all dogs are gay? Well, a logical person would find fault with the basis of my argument that all dogs are gay to begin with.

No those are strawman arguments. The government literally controls who can and can't enter pretty much any given market. How is that not a socialist economy?

Free market capitalism by definition gives me the freedom to exchange goods and services with anyone whom I choose. That is definitely not how the economy works in the united states.

Explain to me how government controlling who cant start businesses, who can do business, and who can purchase from businesses, is capitalism? because by definition that is socialism, social democracy, or market socialism. pick your poison it all comes down to a group of people(government) telling individuals how to spend their time and money or how not to spend their time and money. not a free market and not capitalism.

This doesn't even begin to get into what happens when you do not pay your kickback to the government. How do you own your home or business when the government can take it from you? Doesn't that mean they are owned by the state and just basically rented by you?

socialist economy

n.
an economic system based on state ownership of capital

Conclusion = You don't know what you're talking about. Good night.

To save anyone else time, this dipshit is going to continue to bring up strawman arguments. He stated How is that not a socialist economy and then I defined socialist economy and he complains that I didn't define socialism.

To further cement what a complete fucking idiot he is, he proceeds to define socialism as "ownership and control by the state" or "government ownership"

Never explaining why he thinks "regulations" = ownership.

Devils-Advocate needs to change his name to Retards-Advocate, and stop eating paint-chips post-haste.

Definition of socialism

1: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods

2a: a system of society or group living in which there is no private property

b: a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state

3: a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done

straight from the dictionary.

No you either do not know what you are talking about or you are intentionally being dishonest.

Why did you not include the entire definition of socialism?

Why are you rewriting it to fit your narrative?

It is pathetic you cant just man up and admit being wrong. Socialism is defined as a blanket term. Hence why I specified a more narrow field with social democracy and market socialism which are defined as follows.

Definition of social democracy

1: a political movement advocating a gradual and peaceful transition from capitalism to socialism by democratic means

2: a democratic welfare state that incorporates both capitalist and socialist practices

Literally fits the exact definition for social democracy. It is also incredibly easy to argue it fits the broader definition of socialism under the third point.

So why are you being so intellectually dishonest?

You don't have to answer I know its because you are not man enough to admit being wrong. Most people can't get over their ego.
