True but here we have to ban shills or it will be overrun by shills.

114

Fair enough. But this causes a purity spiral in which Trump supporters go after each other. That's really bad.

50

That happens in any fundamentalist movement.

57
Hshsvsvsvsv 57 points ago +57 / -0

Barr was always a peice of shit

It's actually really disturbing that there are people who are in charge of important things high up in the country who get their news from CNN..

The attorney general is facing his decisions on what he reads from CNN that's a problem. When members of the FBI base their decisions on things they read on CNN that's a problem..

And even more than that it's not even surprising.. when you point people to your administration that never supported you in the first place you shouldn't be surprised when they work against you people like Obama appointed Obama supporters to his administration and when that happened he didn't even have to tell them what to do. They just knew.. they did things that helped him. They did things to advance his agenda and he didn't even have to tell him to do it.. Trump appointed a bunch of people that probably voted for Hillary clinton.. and that means that he's going to have to make the manage every single thing they do to make sure it's in line with what he wants and even then they're going to work to undermine his agenda..

Trump had appointed a bunch of trump supporters that enthusiastically voted for him in 2016 his entire administration would have been different..

33
SaintPablo 33 points ago +36 / -3

The problem is that his appointments had to be confirmed. He was probably told in no uncertain terms that there was no way in hell some people would ever be confirmed.

The game is more complex than we realize. He’s not an idiot—“oh shit I guess I’ll pick all these swamp monsters, what could go wrong!?”

He was almost certainly constrained by the processes and “unspoken rules” of DC. He found out the hard way—“you can win the Presidency by surprise, but don’t think we will let you destroy us.”

23
kekkk 23 points ago +26 / -3

I still can't believe Trump was dumb enough to hire the guy.

I knew exactly how it would play out the second he hired him.

All I had to do was look up his history.

Almost EVERYONE on here downvoted me for saying exactly what would end up happening....

That there was ZERO chance Bill Barr, who was Bush Sr.'s right hand man, was coming out of retirement, to fuck the Deep State over and help Trump.

Why anyone thought that was going to happen, Trump included, is beyond me.

3
PalmerEldritch 3 points ago +3 / -0

He tried!

Don't forget when he was elected, many patriots sent in resumes or were recommended for positions.

Firstly, there were gatekeepers in the WH personnel office who rejected a lot of potential people. Then anyone that would have been useful was dismissed or kept waiting to be appointed.

These subversive tactics, along with bad advice from wolves in sheep's clothing, messed Trump up.

He likely planned to fire a whole bunch of Obama holdovers but was advised that they needed to be there while recruiting for others.

Shame he discovered the power of the Acting Head/Director position so late!!!

16

Sen. McCarthy was a great American Catholic anti-communist patriot.

"McCarthyism" is nothing more than rooting out evil God-less communism, and preserving American constitutional rights and freedoms.

In other words, it's a good thing, not a bad thing.

That's why the best answer is to eliminate the chatbox on the internet. Make it no longer a public forum for either direction or party. And everyone goes back to communicating with each other in public or over the phone.

It'll be like the good old days when ABC, CBS, and NBC, along with the local rag, NYT, LAT, and WaPo told you what the "news" was.

I see, yes. In that case it's an optics issue. I still stand for expressing it rather than silencing it. Discussions and disagreements can still be had.

5
Joesf23 5 points ago +5 / -0

My thing is, if the truth is on your side, there is no need to silence opposition. Debate the opposing viewpoint and squash it. I would never demand the flat earthers be kicked offline. Simply making them look crazy in a public setting is more enjoyable imo. Same for communist shills.

4
X3r0 4 points ago +4 / -0

I think that trying to understand the other party, their fundamental, unexpressed desires and motivations is a good starting point for good-faith disagreements.

2
PurestEvil 2 points ago +3 / -1 (edited)

Conversation like that can help both sides understand each other and reduce the pointless demonization.

I consider myself well informed, and came to the conclusion that leftists are basing their views on abstractions that lead to ignorance and falsehoods. Their foundational premise is wrong as well regarding equality. Their logic is flawed. And there is a lot of information they simply refuse to accept because it contradicts their ideological views. Sometimes they are wrong to a point it's a mirror-image of reality.

I can't admit a similar level of fallacy on the right-wing. Conservatives are wrong to assume mere ignorance on the left - there is certainly abuse of power, malevolence and indulging into dysfunction present. They don't enact the vehemence necessary to keep up, thus continually losing ground.

The National Socialists (ignoring the issue if they are actual right-wingers) are wrong, naive and contradictory in some key aspects, but on point on some other ones.

Libertarians are weak on the cultural and demographic issues, ignoring the issue that a reversal of government power is no longer sufficient. Sometimes they are very goofy and advocate for open borders right away.

Centrists are prone to ignorance and indulge in the system working foolishly. They are hated by everyone who is into politics, yet they are needed in order to achieve political power. So they are subject to continuous propaganda and oscillating between the major parties, keeping them in power because they are major parties.

2
somethinga9230k 2 points ago +3 / -1

Their foundational premise is wrong as well regarding equality. Their logic is flawed. And there is a lot of information they simply refuse to accept because is contradicts their ideological views. Sometimes they are wrong to a point it's a mirror-image of reality.

The core of the leftists (and neocons) consider themselves genuinely extremely or more evil according to their own views, values and beliefs. Do not make the mistake that they are sincere at all in any way whatsoever.

2
this_mortal_coil 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think a big thing that gets missed about the left is that they are the dominant culture. Whether a person is truly "left" or not is not always discernible. Most trendies wouldn't know a political argument from a hole in the ground, or a book from Locke or Hobbes or Marx or Keynes if it hit them in their dim head. Going along with the corporate narrative is right think in the broader culture, regardless of whether a person can spell chicanery or not...

1
somethinga9230k 1 point ago +2 / -1

And I am writing reg. the core of the leftists (and neocons).

Again:

The core of the leftists (and neocons) consider themselves genuinely extremely or more evil according to their own views, values and beliefs. Do not make the mistake that they are sincere at all in any way whatsoever.

2
PurestEvil 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't. I clarified that part later on in the next paragraph.

1
somethinga9230k 1 point ago +2 / -1

I am not certain about that. You wrote:

And there is a lot of information they simply refuse to accept because it contradicts their ideological views.

For the core of them at least, the core leftists and core neocons merely pretend that they refuse to accept it, in reality they know well that it is true and/or do not care at all about truth. They consider themselves genuinely extremely or more evil according to their own views, values and perspectives.

I'm curious; were the posts just criticizing Barr, or were they also making sweeping judgements and insulting generalized groups, as you did in this comment? My ultimate question for trump is why did you undermine your own presidency by appointing swamp rats to every single position in the cabinet, including your very own VP?

6
AntiSocialMedia 6 points ago +7 / -1

Do you have a list of who could serve all the slots in the administration? Remember, Trump ran as a Republican. He really has no choice but to take advice. And in DC, you throw a rock, you'll have swamp creatures slither in to hide under it.

2
TDLB 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's unfair to criticize Trump for his swamp appointments because like you said.

What isn't unfair is to criticize the amount of circlejerk this place has for any and all his appointments and just as quickly crucifies them and pretend they weren't on their dick just the night before (read: Pence).

Barr got confirmed by the single most corrupt US Senate in American history. He also ran out the clock on the Trump presidency, not investigating or prosecuting the previous administration's clear treason.

This is but one of Barr's decisions that benefited big anti-America government and bureaucracy. How, exactly, is anyone "retarded, to a shocking level" by claiming that Barr is a swamp rat?

It's over. We have been routed, though the idea remains. There will never be an outsider in the White House ever again, just nightly Hollywood pedo parties.

You have fallen for a 'trust' psy-op to keep you docile and complacent. There's no need to be ashamed, millions fell for it. The shame now would be to continue to deny reality, attack your allies, and offer no resistance to the true enemies of America and freedom.

18
coiffeuse2 18 points ago +18 / -0

I was anything but complacent, I did all I could. I contacted my congress, I contacted SCOUTUS, I contacted the president, I contacted congress. I went to rallies, marches, I spent a ton of money I didn't have. I have been more active than ever. I lost my job because of inhumane mask mandates. I have been banned on fb for being outspoken. I have a Tatoo of the rebel alliance... the only other thing I could have done was to start a war, not my job.... what do you mean we were docile? I don't know anyone who was docile. Weaponless, maybe, but not docile. I have lost many friends because I still will not back down on my beliefs. My sign is still up, wand will remain up until there is justice. What more can we do,, other than walk on dc, or our capitals, but the tyrannical strong arm of the CCP has just made us communist, and the inner cities laugh and celebrate....

4
Kraznaya 4 points ago +5 / -1

Infuriating, isn't it?

I honestly had no knowledge of any Q shit until after the election. From 2016 to 2020 I spent my life trying to build an organization to help counter the slide into tyranny I had been witnessing. I quit my full time job and cashed out investments to build it, only to watch it completely die last year as a result of the whiplash of changes and the revelations of how deep the swamp actually was.

Yet, because we aren't picking up our rifles and waging literal war, we've been lulled into complacency by some psyop?

We didn't "tRuSt ThE pLaN", we were out there actively trying to push the line. In my case the problem was it turned out I was targeting the wrong target since I (probably like Trump) assumed there was some shred of decency left in the system that could be leveraged to fix the whole thing.

By the time the election actually occurred, it was too late. There was literally nothing we could do. Hoping that Trump actually did have a plan was all that was left, unless we really did launch a "siege of the Capitol" in 1/6 with weapons and violently enforced the will of the people that had been subverted by the deep state. But we didn't do that, for many reasons.

4
coiffeuse2 4 points ago +4 / -0

We're fucked... it's not long before we will be speaking Mandarin, or our children anyway. I will not be silenced. I'm sorry your business failed. Pence, at least, made sense at the time. He was an establishment man who acted as a peace offering to the Republican party and the religious right, who at the time did not trust him. It probably isn't exaggeration to say that it is what held as much of the old republican party to him as he got. I believe Trump knew Pence was not for him, even if he did not realize the extent to which Pence was against him, but saw it as a necessary evil.

It was a business deal, like partnering with someone who you know will try to undermine your stocks, in order to gain access to a new market. You go in expecting to have to be wary and have countermeasures to their maneuvering, but you don't expect them to hire thugs to break your knees the night before a big meeting of the board.

23
OconusLurex 23 points ago +23 / -0

This is the perfect comparison when it comes to Pence. Barr, however, I'll never understand. Any deep look at his history showed that he was a clean up man, and has been supporting & protecting the corrupt his entire career. Ruby Ridge alone should have been disqualifying.

I know Trump needed to get the senate to approve whoever he chose, so his only options were necessarily swampy, but Barr was on a whole other level. And it was immediately visible in his career history. The frog & the scorpion writ large.

9
Miztivin 9 points ago +9 / -0

It’s almost like if you have a corrupt single party LARPing as two opposing parties and they control congress, they have the power to literally corrupt every other branch of government.

Our three branches of government are not equal. Not as long as the legislative branch has so much unchecked power.

1
RoBatten 1 point ago +1 / -0

The "Judicial" branch is composed of many corrupt judges who "legislate" from the bench, and do not read, follow, and correctly interpret the Constitution . . .

So few apparently honest Trump backers. Grennell. Pompeo. Junior. Hawley. Trump truly underestimated how deep The Swamp was, and just how many GOP bastards are as bad as The Leftists. 1

It is staggeringly terrifying just how few people in this country, and even on this very website, understand any fundamentals about how our government actually functions....

1
FuckRioters 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm not the same person you responded to, but I think you absolutely can point out mistakes someone made, without crapping on them. A lot of us who point out Trump's various bad decisions (and good decisions) Are doing so because we WANT to be more effective.

For example, years ago I made an app and everyone seemed excited about it. However, when I put it up for sale, I didn't even earn 1-months worth of rent during it's lifetime. Sometimes the truth can be hard to swallow, but I would have been better off having that truth, and doing something else instead.

0
MAGAMAN4EVA 0 points ago +1 / -1

I get it but who was Trump supposed to pick to doj again?

2
FuckRioters 2 points ago +2 / -0

Like I said, I'm not shitting on Trump. I'm not suggesting I could do better. I personally don't know enough about the political landscape in washington to know who is or isn't a swamp creature, without spending far more time cataloguing that stuff.

Pointing out these things is important because there are underlying lessons contained. For example: What if MAGA had one or more organizations (more is better, less corruptible) which tracked stuff like who is consistent MAGA, who votes for bloated spending, etc?

If I was to run for office (which is unlikely) my FIRST pick for an advisor would be someone like Robert Barnes. He often says stuff I don't want to be true, or stuff I disagree with, but then weeks or months later is PROVEN correct. Knowing who you can trust, properly vetting them, and then letting them delegate is important to running any kind of organization under such hostile pressure.

I acknowledge that without 2020 hindsight, I too would have probably made many of the same mistakes as Trump. If Trump spent the next 4 years finding people he could trust and won the next election, he could probably absolutely trash the swamp.

I'm as pissed off as anyone else here about the shit that happened, but also acknowledge realism in that we can acknowledge mistakes and become stronger from them.

Trump was known for bad personnel decisons dating back to the 80s in business. He needed a good COS like the one he has now from the start and things would have turned out differently.

There are parallels with the ongoing Iraqi Dinar RV scam where suggestible usually old people are sold bundles of Iraq currency (1 USD = 1,460.32 DINAR) with 'assurance' (for fucking decades now) that it will revalue 1:1 any day now and they'll be rich. If you pick one of those results at random and read the UPPERCCASE part you will hear the scam operators dropping Q like word salad with anonymous sources and (fake) things happening behind the scenes... and the message is "keep waiting, keep buying",

Because the only thing left "to do" at this point is to start taking people out with force, and we all know how well that's likely to turn out. Hell, a hundred or so MAGA hats breaking down a door at the Capitol and spending a couple hours taking selfies and making crank calls at Nancy Pelosi's desk was spun by the left-controlled media as an "armed insurrection," covered 24/7 for 2 weeks straight now, and resulted in Trump being impeached a second time with no investigation or due process, a huge national crackdown on Trump supporters, and a fucking military occupation of DC.

Back in 2017, a Bernie Sanders supporter literally attempted to assassinate multiple Republican members of Congress and it got maybe one evening of coverage in the mainstream media. Does anyone recall mass arrests of Bernie supporters?

3
Philhelm 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think that most of us will be on the same page again tomorrow, once Biden completes his usurpation of the White House. Trump's refusual to concede resulted in "trust the plan" paralysis since it made people hope that Trump prepared for this (and frankly, the fact that the Presidency can be so easily stolen via election fraud coup is absurd).

On the other hand, I can show you hundreds and hundreds of Q posts where Q said the direct opposite and straight up told us that if we did not take non-violent action in many different ways, then we would end up losing our country.

Q literally preached hundreds of times to not be complacent by thinking you can just sit on the sidelines and not participate....

So I can only guess that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about and are simply repeating things that you heard other misinformed people say.....

Not to be a dick, truly, but any of us could have picked anyone we wanted - they just never would have gotten confirmed. The deep state / Mcconnell put all those picks in.

Barr was an effective AG but horrible pick for prosecuting treason, cleaning up DC, shrinking bureaucracy, etc ... Generally he was America last, bureaucracy first like so many in DC. Perfect for the people who are used to having a dualistic set of laws.

-1

Christ almighty how few of our people around here understand how our government works?...

Any major pick he made would have to be confirmed by one of the most corrupt senates in our country's history...

I think that is one major things our founding fathers did not foresee in our future.... it doesn't matter how many fucking checks and balances you have once you get to the point where almost the entire house and senate are corrupt.... at that point all of those checks and balances they worked so hard to write into our constitution become meaningless

That Axios article is just utter bullshit, regular MSM propoganda "nothing to see here".

I really thought highly of Barr at one point but this quote from him is one of the few that I found utterly amazing Barr told Trump "Federal investigators were already hunting for the ringleaders in the protests." referring to the BLM ANTIFA protests explaining why the Insurrection Act was unnecessary.

Really, then where the fuck are they, because virtually no one has gone to prison or was brought up on Federal charges, nothing that remotely resembles what they are doing now to Trump Supporters

The we get this beauty from Barr quoted by Axios "The Justice Department, he continued, had looked at the major fraud allegations that Trump's lawyers had leveled. "It's just bullshit," Barr told the president."

How the hell could the justice department be looking into it without investigating any of the witnesses, both those who alleged fraud, and those who were alleged of committing fraud? Was the Driver for USPS interviewed? Where the hell did the truck go? What about Ruby Freeman, did the FBI speak to her? Did Barr even meet with Giuliani to listen to the case?

How could they be "looking into it" if they never audited the Dominion Machines? Why in the hell didn't the DOJ bring a case against the states that unconstitutionally changed election law? the Supreme Court sure as shit would have had a harder time ignoring that.

The amount of treasonous bullshit President Trump had to deal within the White House is astounding, and Bill Barr is a traitorous piece of shit

6
Nekroziz 6 points ago +7 / -1

Barr is a fat fucking pedophile. These allegations have been there since the day Trump put him in. Every single person around Trump from day one, can someone name me a SINGLE person Trump selected who wasn’t a piece of shit? Yes, were they as big as piece of shits on average as Bush and Obama picks? Hell no, but cowardly “tow the line” types piss me off more than the ones who’ll just stab in you in the front.

Not a knock on Trump, I forget who said it- may have been Rogan or ON Rogan, but someone said “the very reason someone would WANT to be a politician means they’re evil, that’s why no one GOOD is ever in politics”.

If you people still support the GOP after this, we need to in our lifetimes and our children’s children’s lifetimes say, “You didn’t fight for Trump, I won’t fight for you” to the entire GOP.

What political systems do we have left that are redeemable? I’m not an anarchist, but at some point someone has to hit the reset button and bring the actual constitution back as the law of the land and people who represent it as politicians. Not “opinions” or “perspectives” of the constitution (looking at you ACB, A Commie Bitch). We’re still printing money into oblivion, I mean this country has been on a self driven crash course, the Chinese and Iranian’s and such have just pushed the pedal farther down.

Trump was our President and I'm a little shocked that he let others influence in a negative way actions that needed to be taken such as the Insurrection act against BLM to put a end to their fuckery. With that being said he's done so many positive actions for the US that we need to remember he's a person and not everyone does everything we think should be done in that moment but it's disappointing BLM was aloud to ruin our towns and he was able to let someone talk him out of something that was desperately needed. I'm so proud that not only the Proud Boys stepped up to let blm antifa know we ain't taking their shit and we fight back but patriots followed that lead!! These are our streets and no matter who the President is we won't back down no more, it made us stronger in that aspect since before we'd just sit back and wait for action to be taken from law enforcement. This is gonna be a long 4 years, if Trump does leave office, but I think with how strong the maga bond has become we will fight back on more than just BLM Antifa and the new administration won't have a easy ride. I know I will never back down and I will never be silent when I see fuckery happening in our government ever again

Barr fooled a lot of people, me included.

The standard pardon process goes through the DOJ, with the idea being that they filter out all but the most worthy clemency petitions for the President's consideration.

But the President can bypass that process at any time, and has done it already on several occasions. The DOJ certainly did not sign off on Roger Stone's pardon. There is nothing stopping the President from pardoning Snowden if he wants to do so.

And he should pardon him, along with Assange, Rudy, Bannon and all of the so-called "rioters" whose only offense was entering the Capitol on January 6th and who committed no acts of violence or vandalism.
