I don't think any other franchise has taken such a nose dive in so little time. There's lots of shows that go from good to OK, go from OK to bad and there's even some that get better as they go along, however rare that is.
GoT was a show that went from absolutely fantastic to the most contrived epic failure I've ever seen. The fall was incredible to watch. You could feel the cuck out while watching the show and witness the train wreck in real time.
Meh, he just works slow. You're allowed to take your time when it's your own creation. I'm also connecting, maybe incorrectly, the quality of his work and the time it takes him to complete it.
I'd probably take his position myself honestly. I'd get really sick of people pressuring me to finish MY story so they can churn it in Pedowood.
Well then he shouldn't have made the show. Why make the show and then not finish the story for a decade or more?
Honestly the guy sounds like a huge faggot to me. He would constantly whine about how fans were pressuring him to write the books. Just ungrateful as fuck. Not only was he taking forever to write them, but to have people be such huge fans of your work that they are dying to read the rest of the story is something any author would give anything for.
And then he turned that in to some bullshit where he was the victim of harassment. It reminded me of those feminists who cry about getting death threats or whatever on the internet. Something 12 year old's of my generation experienced daily on the internet and it literally had no effect on them. GRRM sounds like he eats soy every day of his life. How can someone concoct a victim narrative out of fans desperate to read their books while they live life as a multi millionaire, selecting the next naked chick to be in their massively successful HBO show? The guy has to be a leftist. Only a leftist could make themselves a victim in that scenario.
It reminded me of mass effect. was pretty good then took a fat nosedive into shit town in the last hour. It was quite spectacular to watch them commit franchise suicide like that
This is a great comparison. Of all the things they could've done in both cases, what they chose was awful and utterly nonsensical. 95% of both were epic...but that last 5% killed them completely. I prefer to ignore both "endings" and just think of them as unresolved.
