The people could and have overwhelming their governments very quickly. They want you to believe they have every angle and possibility covered completely. but the reality is that a bunch of unarmed people could gather up, go inside the capital. Some would get shot, yes. But if they really intended to, even without weapons could have stomped the traitors to death that day. The small amounts of security would be at best able to kill some people as they too went to the ground to be mauled to death.
