I don't know if you've ever had the chance to travel abroad extensively or visit with expats in other countries, but one thing my time with a Russian friend taught me was the importance and absolute brilliance of checks and balances.
We didn't lose these last 4 years. We woke up to the absolute corruption in our system. The fact that we didn't have a dictator for our side is a GOOD thing. The problem is that standard is not being held for the other side and our votes are now ineffective. We have problems to fix, and it's going to be hard and unpleasant, but that's not Trump's fault.
