The investigator on the case committed "suicide" before releasing his findings and I would imagine everyone is moving on. How about the kids' family, wouldn't they be out there demanding answers?

That could really be important. If they have protection against threats and violence many more might be willing to come forward. Wish it was don't after the murders but never too late.
