At my school, the principal sent out a letter stating that social studies courses ordinarily would watch the inauguration, but not this year, and has instructed faculty to not discuss the election or the results with students! So.... learning about how our republic is supposed to work will not be learned, and the students are left with no understanding as to why the pledge which we have them recite daily, to our flag and the republic for which it stands, is anything worth defending.
Basically they don't want kids to see and remember what a stolen election looks like, because they're afraid it will come back to bite them in the ass in 10-20 years. I remember that on 9/11, teachers all day were broadcasting the event. So welcome to clown word, where we live in a place where 9/11 can be broadcast in classrooms, but the inauguration of a so called "legitimate" president can't be broadcasted. It's clear that they're trying to limit kids memory of this event.
