Krupp's gun factory. It worked out for them really well. It was always a family-owned business and the patriarch + owner Gustev Krupp was imprisoned and set for trial at Nuremberg. A few years go by and America realized that there was a real communist threat to the east. Now keep in mind that Auschwitz was set up to supply crop with slave labor. Well we needed someone that could turn out tanks and heavy equipment in Germany so Krupp got a free pass at Nuremberg. He got the factories and the steel mills and the coal mines back.
