Yesterday I was in a small town in Texas. Noticed that the officers were fully kitted up, moreso than usual. Asked them why, they said "it's above my pay grade. Inauguration week."
So yeah it's probably the same thing all over the country.
A lot of these cops are little children playing Army dress up. I live in a small town with little to no crime in a semi rural area and the cops bought an armored personnel carrier.
If you are going to do that show of force you are not psychologically fit to be a policeman.... or a human being.
