After what I've seen lately, I tend to agree with you. Most are right-wing leaning but when push comes to shove, they have zero backbone and will just follow orders with little resistance. As you said, since they're 100% dependent on their salary and pension, they never push back against the people giving the orders.

The whole idea that "the police supports the right-wing" is mostly a left-wing conspiracy theory without merit.

For us on the right-wing, we're better off learning on how to defend ourselves instead of voting for more power to the police.

A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defence against foreign danger have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. - James Madison, 1787, from a speech at the constitutional convention

I don't know how to get this through people's heads, but the founders wanted EVERY ABLE-BODIED MAN TO HAVE MILITARY TRAINING, and to make it required as part of collegiate education. They also wanted NO STANDING ARMIES AT ALL, like the skeleton crew army that maintained equipment prior to ww1.

The professional soldier is a goddamn prostitute, disloyal to his countrymen and loyal to his paycheck. That's how the entire founder's generation saw it. There was no honor in being a professional soldier, just prostitution to the state. To be a full-time soldier was shameful.and embarassing. To be a militiaman was basic civil duty.

I'm going to catch flak for agreeing with the Founders, because you all aren't American enough. I love ya anyways.

That’s some of the best analysis of what the founding father’s actually meant when they created our union of states. Well done.
