Criminals will get guns if they want them. They already have gun control in these major cities, and they have INSANE amounts of shootings. The only thing the laws do is keep honest citizens who obey the laws from possessing a gun to protect themselves against those whole possess them illegally. Criminals would think twice when robbing or assaulting someone, if there was a good chance they could shoot back. All these laws do is make it easier for criminals, like shooting fish in a barrel.
As far as children having guns, yes, I think they should. In fact, it's NOT illegal for a minor to own a gun, only illegal for them to purchase or carry them. They offer licenses for junior hunters. If they weren't allowed to use guns, how could they hunt? Parents are in charge of their child until they are an adult, and should use their best judgement on whether the are responsible enough to handle having a gun. With that said, there is NO age mentioned on the second amendment.
All good and fine but would you be comfortable with the generational welfare zones to immediately get unrestricted access to guns right now? Knowing full well it would unleash a tidal wave of carnage? As to children sure if you teach your child responsible gun control then by all means let them have them. I suppose you could say the same for the places in America where the citizens are basically grown children but who is going to teach them? As I said the left has put us in a hell of a spot and I see no easy solutions.
To be 100% honest, I don't really care what happens in the inner cities. Maybe they'll kill themselves off and then we won't have to worry about the trouble, or maybe there will be less trouble, because criminals are looking for an easy victim. It will eventually equalize out. Either way, it's just the way it is. Restricting second amendment rights is wrong, no matter what the cost.
My point is I don't really care. They decriminalized possession of narcotics in Oregon. They provide safe places for people to go shoot up. Drugs kill more people in a month than guns do in a year, yet that is okay?
They could offer state or city sponsored firearm classes. They could teach firearm safety in school, in fact they USED TO. It's not a tough fix. They have all the faggot SJW programs they waste money on. They want to waste money on stupid shit like that, why not something that is an American tradition? It's not THAT hard to find a solution.
