Are you high? Most of the cops who "quit" just went to different jurisdictions that were more friendly do them. I think most cops are well-meaning but they, in general, have proven themselves to be little more than automatons programmed by the State when push comes to shove.
After what I've seen lately, I tend to agree with you. Most are right-wing leaning but when push comes to shove, they have zero backbone and will just follow orders with little resistance. As you said, since they're 100% dependent on their salary and pension, they never push back against the people giving the orders.
The whole idea that "the police supports the right-wing" is mostly a left-wing conspiracy theory without merit.
For us on the right-wing, we're better off learning on how to defend ourselves instead of voting for more power to the police.
Tim Pool had a great anecdote about that on one of his recent IRL podcasts about his time at occupy wall street.

So City hall agreed to the demands of the Police Officers only, with the agreement that they get back to work.
The next day they returned to where they were striking and arrested everyone.
