Pretty much everyone in the story were assholes of varying degree. Except Tormund. He's just awesome.
Sadly, they ended her story by just having her stare out the window and then get crushed by rocks.

I'd say this is an accurate assessment of everything.
Season 8 was so terrible, that I like to pretend that season 8 never happened, and the real season 8 will come out one day.
