Yes, though I would hate to have to make the choices he has to make. Were Trump a colder, more calculating man he would have already done things that he knows will lead directly to loss of life, liberty and property of ordinary Americans. He knows if he stays now the commies will lose their shit. We are already in the endgame of the commie war of subversion. Physical conflict is inevitable if we want to save what is left of the Republic.
But he loves us.
Be honest with yourself here too. How many losses are acceptable losses if your actions would potentially save the Republic but the immediate consequences could be thousands of innocent lives lost? And many more to follow?
Lincoln's civil war cost us half a million. The death toll will be much higher this time. I would posit Lincoln was a far colder man than Trump because he grew up in a far harsher world. he grew up closer to the reality of life and death.
We have grown soft. So making the hard choices isn't as black and white an issue as it used to be.
Imagine being Trump. Looking out over a rally, and in your mind's eye seeing not ten thousand happy Americans, but ten thousand corpses.
He is no fool. He knows the hot war is coming. But he also knows the cost of such wars, and knows they are never borne by the elite. They are borne by us.
When last I wrote him, I told him that. I also told him I wanted him to kick off that hot war. That I understand the potential cost to me and those I love and it is worth it.
If he moves heaven and earth to keep our soldiers out of war and bring them home, when they have volunteered to die for us if needed, how the hell can he wrap his mind around kicking off the hot war here at home?
Frankly I pity him. His one major flaw is he believes and loves too much. He believed too much in the rule of law, and loves us too much. I have seen this dark moment coming for almost a year. I knew it was here election night.
And I believe that no matter what course he takes, barring miracles, he will be a dead man walking. Until they kill him. And I suspect he will welcome that when it comes.
I pray that a benevolent Lord eases his burdens.
We all say we would do everything and anything, but none of knows until we are in that circumstance if we could actually make the choice needed.
So yes I will view him differently. Because he is a different man today than he was when he came down the escalator.
