This is always my assumption when I see an amber alert. A dad who got divorce raped just wants to see their kid.
a surprising number of them are actually for mothers who lost custody or have reduced custody.
total guess - Dads usually seem deflated and accepting of losing custody, Moms can absolutely lose it.
